Of the nearly 16,000 radio stations operating in the United States, only 222 are owned or controlled by African Americans. Arizona does not have a Black owned radio station and the last time the state had an African-American owned radio station was the year 2000. Having a station owned or controlled by African Americans would connect our community like no other station could. In the absence of a Black owned radio station, the board of Desert Soul Media, Inc. currently has an opportunity to purchase an FCC licensed radio station in Arizona. We are very fortunate that this license is available to us and would like to establish a radio voice for the Black community in Arizona.
Desert Soul Media, Inc. is currently looking for donors who can help us reach the goal of raising the $1.5 million dollars needed to acquire and operate the radio station.

Chihuahuan ($25 – $1,000): includes top of hour thank you; charter donor discount card with Black businesses in Phoenix area; on-air personality meet and greets; quarterly newsletter.
Mojave ($1,001 – $5,000): includes all benefits in previous level plus access to two exclusive artist events and a recognition on our donor wall.
Great Basin ($5,001 – $10,000): includes all benefits in previous two levels plus the ability to guest host one program segment on the air.
Sonoran ($10,001 – $20,000+): includes all benefits in previous three levels plus a copy of our strategic plan, program sponsorship announcement for one year, the ability to guest host one hour long program on the air, one evening with a private chef who will prepare dinner for four at your home*, and recognition with naming of a hall, section, wall or studio in the WRACC.
*dinner for four will occur post COVID.
